It’s grown over the years into a research university of distinction, educating over 23,000 students annually.  BSU lost its spiritual beginnings, but God hasn’t neglected BSU.  In 1995, God brought Cynthia Boline to plant the first chapter of IVCF at BSU.  Since then He has proven faithful to develop the ministry into a community of students who follow Jesus into His mission on campus by expanding His kingdom there through love and justice.

Weekly Gatherings

PRAYER

We meet every Thursday at 7pm in the Alexander room in the SUB to pray for each other and for campus. We believe God longs to be in relationship with every student at BSU and we believe that prayer is a powerful way for us to be a part of seeing that happen. Join us as we seek what God is doing on our campus and pray for Him to move and be glorified at Boise State.

HANG OUT

Every Friday night at 7pm we put on fun activities, both on and off campus, to provide a place to grow in community and have a space to invite others and meet new people. We post on our Facebook group the details about what we will be doing each week. Come, bring your friends, and have fun with us!

Small Groups

A value of InterVarsity is to establish student led “witnessing communities” that seek to connect every corner of campus- whether it’s a dorm, the dance department, or their athletic team- to Christ. InterVarsity small groups are weekly, student-led Bible studies aimed at gathering communities of students to form deeper friendships and practically discover what it means to follow Jesus in college.

Talk to your campus staff about which small groups are happening on your campus. If you would like someone to contact you about them, click the button below and fill out our interest card form. We look forward to connecting with you.

Other Ways To Get Involved

Fall Conference

InterVarsity hosts a variety of regional and national conferences designed to helps students grow in their relationship with Christ. At conferences, students will connect with InterVarsity chapters across the state and country. They will be challenged to commit more deeply to Christ and learn how to share their faith with others back on campus.

Chapter Camp

Every Spring, InterVarsity chapters travel to Catalina Island for Chapter Camp. At this week-long retreat on the California coast, students will dig-in to the Gospel of Mark, growing deeper in their relationship with Christ and with their InterVarsity community.

Jancy Schrader
BSU Campus Staff

Jancy Schrader graduated from Boise State University (Go Broncos!) in December of 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics Secondary Education and an English Minor. As a student she was transformed through the ministry of InterVarsity and in her time on the student leadership team also found herself falling in love with doing ministry and seeing the beauty of God working on her campus.

With great joy, she is now on staff at her alma mater Boise State where she is excited to see God move in students like her, inviting them into the abundant life only Christ offers. Some other joys in her life are reading, playing outside (especially ultimate frisbee!), traveling, and spending enormous amounts of time in community with both family and friends.
